Your system and your internet connection don’t push these errors. The 12152 or 7305 error means that a situation with the McAfee download servers caused your download to fail. Retry the download after sometime

  1. Download the MCPR tool.
  2. Double-click MCPR.exe.
  3. If you see a security warning:

    Click Agree to accept the antivirus’s End User License Agreement (EULA).
    In the Security Validation screen:

    You will see one of the following messages when the process is complete. Click the one that you see.
    Removal Complete If you see this message, the MCPR tool has been completed successfully.
  6. Restart your PC to finish the removal process.
    Cleanup Unsuccessful If you see this notification, the Cleanup did not go as intended:
  7. Restart your PC and rerun MCPR.
  8. If you see Cleanup Unsuccessful again, ignore it.
  9. Restart your PC again.
  10. Attempt to reinstall your McAfee software.

If you are still unable to install the following:

  1. Click here to contact McAfee Customer Service.
  2. Let the agent know:
    MCPR produced an Unsuccessful Cleanup message. You are unable to reinstall your McAfee software.
  3. Try to install your McAfee product again.
    McAfee protection products for Windows (such as LiveSafe, and Total Protection) are fully backed on the following Windows versions:
    • Microsoft Windows 11
    • Microsoft Windows 10
    • Microsoft Windows 8.1

McAfee aid for McAfee products running on Windows 8.0 or 7x is limited:

• Windows 8.0 and 7x
• McAfee delivers only “best effort” support for McAfee developments installed on Windows 8.0 and 7x, running McAfee antivirus software version 16.0.31 or above. And try to understand how to cancel McAfee’s automatic renewal and initiate the process.
