In our culture, the word “love” is frequently used. But it’s easy to observe that things aren’t always as they seem by just looking around.

The cornerstones of all major faiths are love—love of oneself and love of God. Our other loves, which radiate out from our inner selves, are likewise stepping stones on the spiritual path: love of one’s family, one’s spouse, one’s friends, one’s community, one’s animals, one’s nature, one’s nation, one’s goods, one’s hobbies, and one’s work. As the romantic songs say, falling in love is not something that happens to you. A spiritual discipline is a love. Over time, you can improve at it.

Start by realizing that you must first learn to sincerely love your body, mind, and soul to love others. Be mindful of the various manifestations of love as you go about your day: attraction, focus, absorption, desire, adoration, security, trust, empathy, compassion, harmony, contentment, and communion—experiment with broadening the range of these emotions. We get to know God’s love via acts of love. A relationship that goes beyond the superficial level is called spiritual love.

Any other relationship in your life is overshadowed by tremendous dedication and bond. You can go deeper into your spirituality and psyche as a result. That kind of spiritual love is not a pleasurable emotion. It is a choice that you have made. It takes labor and requires continual effort.

Therefore, what you imagine love to feel like—pleasurable, tranquil, and warm—might not be how spiritual love feels. Instead, terms like commitment, loyalty, and forgiveness better capture the essence of spiritual love.

Spiritual love may be experienced with anyone, regardless of sexual orientation, which is lovely. If you’re prepared to put up the work and concentration, you can have a relationship with anyone you meet. You can learn more about love and spirituality by reading love without fear pdf books.

Most of us have struggled with love our entire lives. In truth, our desire for an unending source of love frequently marks the start of our inner lives, whether conscious or unconscious.

It’s possible that we grew up believing we didn’t deserve love or had to accomplish great deeds to earn it. We acquire notions about love through our parents, the movies we watch, love and fear books, and our cultural and religious environment. These ideas continue to shape us long after forgetting where they came from. Our perception of love can become even more complex when we interact with spiritual teachers and read spiritual books because we often come away from these experiences with slightly varied interpretations of what love means in spiritual life.

Give surrender to the love that is emanating from this entity toward you. If ideas like “I don’t deserve this” or “This is just an exercise; it’s not real” arise to distract you from your goal, acknowledge them and let them go like you would in meditation by saying, “Thinking,” and then exhaling the thought. You have nothing to do except accept. When you open your eyes, give yourself a moment to scan your surroundings while keeping in mind that everything you see and the air still flows with the love you have been considering.

Every time we experience a moment of sensitivity, appreciation, or affection, we share the Great Love, the love that is the essence of all. The Great Love is present in everything. Any hint of honey serves as a spark from that fire and points us in its direction.

Fear always intervenes in the way of the spiritual path and appears most frequently when practicing love. We are hesitant to love because we fear no one will return our love. We worry about whether our romantic connections are solid, admirable, and long-lasting. We set performance standards on our loving, as opposed to not questioning the quality of our deeds of compassion. Closeness and love go hand in hand, but if we have been let down by love, we worry that intimacy is out of our reach. We fear that we are no longer capable of loving, that we are unlovable, or that we will experience more hurt. We occasionally even worry that love may transform us.

Another approach to experiencing love is to picture a wise, highly forgiving entity sitting outside your window which is sensitive and loving. Through the glass, someone is watching you; her look shields you and envelops you in sweetness.
