One of the most influential politicians in the Bangladesh Awami League is Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babor. Babor currently holds a position with the Bangladesh Awami Jubo League. Along with being a politician, he also works as a social worker. He contributed in various ways during The Corona Epidemic having had a significant impact on society during these challenging circumstances. The “Corona Resistance Booth,” a spectacular invention, elevated him to national hero status during the outbreak of corona. The purpose of this booth is to inform and help the locals of Bangladesh to eradicate dangerous diseases.
The great national hero, Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babor was born in the village of Chattogram on 2nd February 1974. He has four brothers and four sisters. His mother’s name is Begum Rizia Chowdhury and his father’s name is Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. He obtained his H.S.C. from the Omargani MuslimEducation Society (M.E.S.) College in 1993 after completing his S.S.C. at Municipal Model High School in 1991. He embraced Bangabandhu’s ideologies, securing the position of general secretary of the Nandankanan Union Chhatra League in 1988. In 1997, he was appointed to hold the position of G-S at Chhatra Sansad, Omar Gani MES College, and Bishaw Vidyalaya College.
He was selected to work as the Awami Jubo League’s deputy finance secretary in 2003.
Moreover, Babor also contributed to save the environment. According to Babor, 25% of a country should include plants to maintain environmental equilibrium but unfortunately, we have only 7.7%, which means we have a great lacking of plants around our country which is highly dangerous for our environment. So he believes we should all take part in planting trees in a coordinated manner. He asked all of us to plant seeds of various trees across the country, saying that doing so would support economic growth and assist protect ecological quality. Therefore, every one of us should plant two saplings each year and care for them properly.
Besides the tree plantation program, Babor mostly received admiration around the country for inventing, “Corona Booth.”It is a booth for the prevention of covid-19 virus in a design of an ATM booth. Helal Akbar Chowdhury first launched the booth in Dhaka city. Then being inspired by him our information Technology minister Junaid Ahmed Palak created this booth in his district with a focus on the general public’s health protection. Then one by one, The courageous freedom fighter Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, the mayor of Chittagong City, Shahriar Alam, the special assistant to the prime minister and secretary of the Central Awami League, Barrister Biplab Barua, the mayor of Rajshahi City, AHM Kamruzzaman Liton, and many others installed corona prevention booths in their respective communities with their own money.
Helal Chowdhury Babor is a source of pride for the Bangladesh Awami League as well as the entire country. His charitable invention made it possible for many common people to fight during the Covid 19 period. According to his detractors, his design is a great model for the world in terms of spreading knowledge about the virus.
